INTERNSHIP

INTERN APPLICATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED

Thank you for your consideration, and we encourage you to apply in the Fall Quarter 2026.

Isabella Razo,

2024-2025 Intern

"Flying Samaritans has been an incredibly impactful experience, providing the opportunity to engage in hands-on patient care while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Beyond the clinical skills gained, one of the most meaningful aspects has been forming connections with patients, listening to their experiences, understanding their needs, and seeing the impact of continued care. Each clinic visit reinforces the importance of accessibility, trust, and compassionate medicine. This experience has deepened my perspective on healthcare and the role of service in addressing disparities."

Lizzie Guzman,

2024-2025 Intern

"As an intern I have gotten the chance to connect with other members in the club, get hands on experience, and understand how the club is run on a deeper level. Being able to see my recommendations as an intern come to fruition and seeing how our teamwork has paid off in presentations or at clinic has made being an intern worth it. Participating in different board rotations allowed me a behind the scenes look in how the club is run and I have a better idea of what it takes to run the club. Working on different intern projects brought me closer to the other interns and I have made friends that I wouldn't have made otherwise, some of us even found out we're in the same classes. I definitely recommend becoming an intern if you want to grow as a leader, in communication, and meet others who share similar goals and interests!"

Dylan Nguyen,

2024-2025 Intern

"Joining Flying Samaritans has been one of the most rewarding experiences and I have gained so much from it. After becoming an intern, I was welcomed into a community of kind, passionate, and driven individuals who are dedicated to making a real difference. The club has provided me with countless opportunities to grow both personally and professionally, helping me take meaningful steps toward my future career in healthcare. One of the most impactful experiences I’ve had with Flying Samaritans was the opportunity to travel to Mexico on a clinic trip. Being able to provide healthcare to underserved communities firsthand was truly eye-opening and humbling. Seeing the gratitude on patients' faces and knowing that we were making a real difference reinforced my passion for medicine and service. I am beyond grateful for the opportunities and experiences this organization has given me."

Jobeth Ly,

2024-2025 Intern

"Being an intern for Flying Samaritans has been a fulfilling and valuable experience. I was able to be more directly involved in the organization and contribute to a mission that helps communities in El Testerazo through an important social cause: healthcare. Being an intern also allowed me to develop professionally through networking with like-minded individuals and learning how an organization functions behind the scenes. I would highly recommend applying for an intern position!"

Diya Karthikeyan,

2024-2025 Intern

"I interned with Flying Sams to learn more on how to run a clinic and connect with patients. In addition to these these clinic trips at El Testerazo, interning with Flying Sams gave us the opportunity to plan our own events, manage funds, and be part of discussions to change how our campus and clinic understands medicine. I particularly enjoyed interning with Public Health and planning new clinic initiatives and educating students on social media on public health. Our bondings and fundraisers were also super fun as our board has people with many different interests in medicine to befriend!"

Divya Mehta

2024-2025 Intern

Being an intern for Flying Samaritans has been an incredible experience that has expanded my understanding of healthcare, service, and the inner workings of the club. Rotating between different committees has given me a well-rounded perspective on how each team contributes to our mission. Through this experience, I've gained valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes operation that keep everything running smoothly. My involvement as an intern has strengthened my passion for working with underserved communities and reinforced my commitment to a future in medicine. I'm grateful for the mentorship and opportunities I've received and excited to continue learning and growing with this team!
